An Effective Way to Lose Weight and Get in Shape

One of the most effective ways to lose weight fast is to start boxing. Though many people may disregard boxing as a form of violence or be concerned that they may get hurt and therefore have no interest in entertaining the idea that it is a valid form of exercise, they would be excessively wrong. Boxing is such an effective method of exercise that within about two weeks, you will notice a huge difference in your body shape and ability to exercise.



First of all, you either need to join a gym with a punching bag or buy your own if you have the space. They are relatively cheap and easy to set up in your own home (you can even buy a stand for a punching bag), but if you’d rather, use a gym. You only need to start at about fifteen to twenty minutes a day on a heavy bag, at least 70 pounds or a little more. Once you have either set up your punching bag in your home or joined a gym with one, you just want to put on your nice new boxing gloves and start hitting. You should notice within a minute or two that your breathing is labored and that you have developed a rhythm. This is one of the easiest exercises you can do. You simply have to punch the bag and the bag will move and when it comes back around it punch it again. Alternate left and right punches; when you get more used to it, you can start to alternate high and low punches as well, but to begin with just alternate left and right. The idea is to build yourself up to a fifteen to twenty minute workout. After a few weeks, you should be able to do about twenty minutes on the heavy bag and as you continue building, you’ll reach about thirty minutes. This is a great place to reach and stick to for a daily workout. Using a heavy bag will work out nearly all of your muscles, both upper and lower body, which is why it is such an effective form of exercise.
